United States v. Sergio Trevino, et al.

Case Dismissed

Case number: 3:05 CR 00095-JBC Jurisdiction: United States District Court Western District of Kentucky, Louisville Judge: Chief Judge Jennifer B. Coffman

Sergio Trevino was indicted by the Grand Jury in Louisville, Kentucky along with ten others and charged with Possessing with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Conspiring to Possess with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. Mr. Trevino was apprehended along with his co-defendants in possession of a truck carrying hundreds of pounds of marijuana that had been followed by the Drug Enforcement Administration from Arizona to Louisville, Kentucky. The government had evidence that Mr. Trevino had helped unload the truck once it arrived in Louisville. Every defendant in the case pled guilty with the exception of Mr. Trevino. We were able to persuade the United States to dismiss all charges against him approximately ten days before trial was set to begin in January of 2006.
