Scott Cox Secures Not Guilty Verdict in DUI Trial

Kentucky State Senator Brandon Smith was charged on January 6, 2015 with driving under the influence in Frankfort, Kentucky. Senator Smith was administered a field sobriety test but did not provide a breath sample at the jail because he was unable to reach his attorney.  The case was tried before a jury and the Senator was found not guilty after the jury deliberated for less than ten minutes.

The case was tried by the Honorable Bill Johnson and Scott C. Cox.
