Ms. Norfleet and a friend were indicted for Possessing with Intent to Distribute approximately 500 pounds of marijuana. A controlled delivery of the marijuana had been made to Ms. Norfleet's home where it was unloaded in her front yard. According to government agents, Ms. Norfleet made several incriminating statements about her interest in the marijuana.
At the close of the government's case, we were successful in persuading the trial court to direct a verdict of acquittal for Ms. Norfleet on all charges.
